Crescent Homes

We just walked away from a $15,000 deposit with Crescent Homes because of too many reasons to list. Suffice to say that we contracted a new build at the end of January and did what should have been a two week walk-through mid-August and even the (third) Project Supervisor stated “I’m disappointed in the condition of the house and you shouldn’t be here today.” Never mind there were problems we had pointed out weeks prior and had not yet been fixed. Then came the home inspection report and that was IT for us. We were DONE. The sheer lack of production oversight was stunning and we were more worried about the amount of money we would lose in the future than our deposit. I can absolutely NOT recommend crescent homes.

I contracted with Crescent to build my townhouse in Greer. This was my retirement home I worked hard for. From day one the problems started. First I was supposed to have flat sidewalk to home because of disability. They put in a steep sidewalk. From then on everything was shoddy. Toilet in Master bath not flushing took 3 weeks to fix. There was a leak in living room wall. Plumber cut master water line and caused a major flood took 2 months to fix making it hard to get around my house. There was a broken window, screens put in backwards, lights falling out of ceiling, no retaining wall to hold dirt behind screen porch, front door would not stay closed or locked and so much more. Now my floor is separating and they won't fix it because it's out of warranty. Even though it didn't start until they replaced half the floor Think twice before you hire them. I am a 71 year old disabled woman who's had to deal with this for over a year with having to fight them on everything. So much for being able to enjoy my retirement. Their website states how much they care about their customers. What a joke. All they care about is the bottom line.

My husband and I loved working with Crescent. We genuinely couldn't be happier with our new home. The builder kept us up to date and always knew what was going on. A+

I couldn't have been happier with my experience with Crescent Homes. Strongly recommend working with them. Their design studio in Mount Pleasant is worth a visit just to get a taste of what they offer.

Crescent Homes is the premier home builder in the Southeast region. The customer service is phenomenal. The builders, designers and support team are knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire home buying/custom building process.

. I entered into a new home build contract with a builder (Crescent Homes) 6 months ago and 10 days before closing, they canceled the contract and still have not returned my deposit. The builder switched lenders and started their own lending company so they could inflate the interest rates to get more money. When I told their “lender” I was going to use my own lending company because of the inflated interest rate, they terminated the contract. Also, they sold the home for $70K more than my sales contract.

Worst builder of all time. Our home was "finished" 6 months behind schedule due to incompetence and laziness, and bouncing between a new GC like every month. Additionally, we have been moved in for 6 months and still have a MAJOR LONG list of outstanding items. Today, for example, I was supposed to be home all day for painters, mason workers, etc to come and finish up the remaining items. It was confirmed by Moses yesterday. Well, today, as I plan my entire day to be home waiting upon these workers, given NO timeframe, they don't even come!!!! I don't get a courtesy call or heads up from Moses or anyone that they aren't coming, not to mention any communication regarding when they were supposed to come. Absolutely HORRIFIC customer service and lack of professionalism. Never had I dealt with a company or people who fail to communicate to you and respond to your wave of texts/calls/emails inquiring about the remaining punch list items. Beyond frustrated this evening and I have had it with Crescent Homes! Not to mention the VP, Vaughn, still owes us $200 for kicking us (dog, toddler, parents) out of our house so our hardwood floors could get REDONE FOR THE THIRD TIME. He only paid us the $500 for hotel expenses when our total expenses were $700 - who does that?!! Do yourself favor and spare yourself from interacting with them. -- PUNCH LIST ITEMS REMAINING 6 MONTHS AFTER CLOSING AND STILL NOT FIXED AFTER MANY MISSED AND FAILED PROMISES: -Carters playroom door is warped and needs replacement -Porch screen door has large gap -Kitchen cabinet with oven wire needs repair/replacement to vinyl backing -Excess poly visible in master closet floors -Sprinkler heads not working or needs adjustment -Rubber gasket on master shower door to fill gap in between doors -Garage floor near garage door is chipped, too high, and needs pressure washing from mud stains due to drainage penetration -Paint on porch screen -Crawlspace vents added -Pantry walls touch up -Clay stains on white brick still -Master sink stopper doesnt work -Door stopper near laundry room broke off -Ceiling touch ups needed and nail pops -Paint on other side of window in guest room needs removal -Quarter round not painted in carters bathroom -Splash guards for gutters -FLOODING IN GARAGE DURING RAIN -CL100 -Broken brick repair -Replacement of metal roof -Purple dots in Master shower -Large puncture/hole in attic -Garage floor has old mud stains and need pressure washing

Crescent Homes did a great job in every way. Home was well built!!! But I do feel like the law firm handling the closing was not prepared or professional. That is my only complaint.

Built home with Crescent closed May 2019. Craftsman ship of this home is terrible! Baseboards do not line up, doors out of square to where baby gate cannot be placed in door, stair trim 2 inches different on sides, stairs stained wrong color, stair handrail no polyurethane on them, island not square, floor starting to squeak, yard not graded properly, yard not raked to remove debris prior to sod, yard not packed so now yard very uneven, many more issues. Do not use Crescent Homes in Greenville SC.
