CAT IN A HAMMOCK
Edible Garden Professionals
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsApril 4, 2021
I cannot believe how fortunate to have found Katrina with Cat In A Hammock to design our front yard. Katrina listen to what I wanted and designed the perfect yard that's beautiful, inviting and within my budget. The project took almost two weeks, it would have been faster if it didn't rain. The crew was professional and perfectionist about every detail. I recommend them very highly.

John Montgomery took a very difficult three dimensional backyard and transformed it into a beautiful and functional living space. We had been strapped with 2200 square foot deck over a relatively shallow lot on a descending hill. The deck was 25 years old and dry rotting. We had a hard time envisioning any kind of replacement. John interviewed us and listened to our list of desires. He also had us fill out a questionaire to get a feel for how much gardening we wanted to do, and what type of plants we desired. He came back with a plan that was incredible and highly desirable. He was easy to work with, and was a master of attention to detail. He helped us find a landscape contractor who was equally dedicated to quality. I can only praise John's work and his whole team that made it work.
My Garden: Landscape Design by Wayne

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsMay 28, 2016
I recently bought a home in Irvine. I have a rather large tiled patio space in the back and wanted to do something special with it. But I have no knowledge of plants, which plants would look good, which plants would survive best, and which would require not too much water. I found "My Garden" on Houzz.com and I feel lucky I did. I wanted not only plant advice but also someone who could help me design the space. I wanted not only plants but furniture, a fire pit , and a fountain. Wayne did all that for me. He came over and took measurments. The following week he brought to me a professionally drafted design for my space, complete with a variety recommended plants, pots, furniture , fountain and the best places to get them. This was all for a surprisingly reasonable one-time price. It was exactly the information I needed. Now I can set about to obtain everything and create my dream patio environment at my own pace, and according to my budget. Wayne is a pleasure to work with, very easygoing, not pushy, and he's prompt. An interesting thing about him is his knowledge of horticulture. He's a walking encyclopedia ! He explained to me that he taught and was the founder and program director of the Landscape Technologies Program at Cal Poly University Pomona for 24 years. He was also the founder/director of the Xeriscape Water Conservation Program at UCI. He walked with me through my garden and told me the names of all of my existing plants, even he rare ones with both their common as well as their botanical names : "This is a Dombeya Wallichii " "That is a Dizygotheca" etc etc etc for every single plant in my garden. I was awed !! He rattled off the names as readily and matter-of-factly as if I had asked him if the sun was shining. And it was ! I can't say enough about Wayne !!
Torrey Pines Landscape Co., Inc
Edible Garden Professionals
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsFebruary 5, 2015
Torrey Pines Landscape redesigned our garden in the front of our home and "tuned-up" our back yard in preparation for a wedding at our home. Torrey Pines was excellent to work with, they had wonderful ideas that reflected our home's architecture and they listened to our concerns and ideas. Torrey Pine's staff installed fountains, lighting, redid our sprinkler system, crafted beautiful brickwork, planted shrubs, flowers and trees that we love! AND everything was finished on time. After the wedding we hired Torrey Pines to maintain our landscape. They could not be better to work with. The crew trims hedges, maintains our lawn, addresses any pest or disease issues, mends sprinklers, plans water conservation, rotates annuals in the garden and keeps everything looking beautiful. WE have never been happier with the way our property looks, and we love spending time outdoors enjoying the beauty that Torrey Pines created for us!

Rodney and the crew at Native Edge did an excellent job transforming my yard into a beautiful setting that I enjoy coming home to every day. The entire process was easy (I trusted Rodney's taste and he did not disappoint). From design to installation, Rodney and his team did an incredible job. In fact, I went ahead and hired them to do the ongoing maintenance and I continue to be satisfied with their work. I highly recommend Native Edge for your landscaping needs.

Blooming Vistas
Edible Garden Professionals
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsMarch 1, 2015
This company is headed by a very knowledgeable woman with unbelievable artistic skills. She has an excellent eye for color and balance . With a pleasant attitude, she works well with her client to provide the best design and plant choices within the client's budget. Mrs. Quillin works alongside her crew, which is honest, polite and hard-working. She honors deadlines and provides a detailed invoice when the project is completed. Her crew does an excellent clean-up of the garden upon completion. I have used Blooming Vistas for spring and fall plantings, beginning in early 2013. For the second spring planting she honored my need to work with a smaller budget. No problem and a beautiful garden! I am so satisfied with my experience with Blooming Vistas that I have referred them to several friends and at least three have hired this company; they have all been very pleased with the work.

Kim from Eden's Garden Design was great to work with. She came to our house and spent time talking with us about what we wanted in our yard. As she worked on our landscape design she consulted with us further about our preferences. Then she provided us with a plan that is easy to understand, with plants that are easily available in our area. She did all this for a reasonable price. I am so happy with our experience.
