aamodt / plumb exceeded every expectation we had for our renovation. They were thoughtful, respectful, and attentive listeners, designing around our family's needs and personal requests. They were creative and sophisticated, surprising us with lovely details throughout and inspiring unequivocal trust in their taste. They were at once innovative and respectful of our home's mid-century heritage. They were proactive problem-solvers, responsive communicators, and fun to be around. Dynamic was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with Aamodt Plumb Architects on a large modern lake front home in Austin. In terms of windows and doors, there was some complexity involved and we found Andrew and Michele to be creative and flexible in design detailing to make every thing work smoothly. Attention to the smallest detail was evident in their approach and they maintained a high level of scrutiny on behalf of their clients. It was a multi-month design process and we greatly enjoyed it - which isn't always the case. All in all, they were a pleasure to work with and we would jump at the opportunity to partner with them again. Highest recommendation.

Aamodt and Plumb recently completed a kitchen renovation and the addition of a mudroom as well as some other small projects on our 1928 Arts and Crafts Tudor house. Our experience with them was outstanding. As anyone is, we were nervous that we would hit difficulties and challenges along the way. In fact, we never did. I truly give the credit to the incredible architect and building crew that we had. Andrew, Mette and Helena (the architect and design team) were such a pleasure to work with. They are so personable and easy going. They were always responsive within the day (usually within the hour, actually) and so easy to work with. They give wonderful ideas but are also open to the homeowner's creativity and ideas. This was the perfect combination for us as we had many creative ideas and the team was able to make plans that could make these ideas come to life. They have a clean and simple eye and helped us to create a modern but soft and natural look. They know their products (flooring, appliances, woods, cabinetry) very well and were able to steer us to high quality yet reasonable goods. We were most impressed by their ability to stay on time and money track and being incredibly respectful of both of these areas. We had a very tight time frame and they were able to perfectly work within it. We always felt prioritized and attended to. It's an overwhelming process having a renovation and /or addition and Aamodt and Plumb made is more pleasant and easy than we could have imagined.

Aamodt Plumb Architects has designed and overseen the construction of our large-scale, lake-front dream home in Austin, TX. The home is modern and the design and quality is amazing. Our builders have repeatedly commented on APA's professionalism and great attention to detail. Everyone in the office has been a real pleasure to work with -- it makes a large, multi-year project very enjoyable. And we are getting an amazing house in the process. aamodt / plumb have an incredibly high attention to detail. they listen to the customer's wishes and are open to contractor suggestions on how to change designs to make them easier/cheaper to build. they have an excellent sense of modern design and can tackle the most complex projects, while still paying attention to the smallest details. they do a great job of creating designs that push a customer's simple ideas into fabulous architecture while still respecting the core wishes of the customer.

I consider Aamodt/Plumb to be extremely talented with an amazing design aesthetic. They designed an extremely unique and special modern home for my employer and the results are amazing. They were extremely professional and thoroughly dedicated to the project from start to finish. They maintained a high standard, were very detail-oriented and held the contractor to performing the work in that manner. It was a pleasure working with them and in fact, we are going to be working together again on another home for my employer, proof that their work was a resounding success.

The architects designed a ~500 sqft, modern addition to our 1857 mansard victorian house. The addition features two rooms, a full, and a half bath. Delicate balance between the modern addition and the old house was important, since this project is in a historic district. Communication with the architects excellent throughout the project. Architects helped us find a great contractor to take on the project.

Aamodt/Plumb did excellent design and oversight work in a major remodelling and renovation of our home. The project was very complex, given the rather oddly eclectic nature of the property, which had been built on to in rather awkward ways over several decades. The design ideas produced by the principles were uniformly excellent, and typically innovative, unexpected, and interesting -- producing an impressive overall aesthetic effect. They also ensured that our relationship with contractors, structural engineers, and other relevant parties was productive and congenial, and were exceptionally helpful in guiding us threw the labyrinthe taks of choosing materials, appliances, and the like. Problems that arose along the way were efficiently and considerately dealt with. Our son is himself an architect with very exacting standards. He recommended Aamoft/Plumb to us. We are very glad that he did.
