Fresh Produce Storage

I feel a bit silly planning every tiny detail of my new kitchen.

Regardless, I have a question I would like some input on.

We buy and use a lot of fresh produce. Going to the market every day or two is not an option, and so we buy in larger quantities. It is common for us to buy at once: 7 lbs bag of apples, 6 lbs bag of oranges, 4 lbs of onions and 10 lbs of potatoes.

We have a tiny fridge currently, a huge poorly laid out pantry, and some extra counter space. Our new kitchen will have a much larger fridge and a planned pantry.

Where do you store your produce that doesn't NEED to be refrigerated?
