How do you keep insects/lizards from nesting behind these panels?

I love these types of exteriors, but haven't heard any of their drawbacks yet.

The open rainscreen is installed with a 4" tall black wire mesh at each of the horizontal joints. Cor-a-vent strips are installed at the top and bottom of the walls. This should help with minimizing insects from nesting behind the siding.
