Should I paint the cabinets white?

Do you think the cabinets would look better if I painted it white? I've seen some amazing before and after photos but I'm not sure how it would look on these specific cabinets since 1) they doors those grooves, 2) there is no hardware on the cabinets 3) how it would match with the floor, black appliances and backsplash. If it's worth it maybe I'll change the backsplash. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I like white for kitchen cabinets, but that color may make your tile backsplash look dingy. What about another color? Or stain them a darker color of wood. Can you add knobs?

Seems like painting them white would be a good idea, but hard to see doors in the pic.

Definitely more updated. Back splash and some inexpensive hardware will really make a difference.

IMO it would ruin the modern design of these cabinets. However, you need a new backsplash and new appliances to update the look.

Could make a feature of the current colour when you redo splash back and add appliances. If painted not too white perhaps an off white that would compliment bench top and floor.

Thanks everyone. I'm knew here and just saw these comments! Yes the microwave could disappear. I have no idea why that space exists above the dishwasher too. I love the picture example showing the cabinets in white. Just that with a new backsplash and appliances can make a big difference! Thank you everyone!

I think your cabinets look nice as they are. I've never seen cabinets quite like those. The granite, backsplash, floor tile and appliances all look kind of old and tired, though. The countertops are cluttered, and this also detracts from the look of your kitchen.

I can see a light, solid-colored countertop and a backsplash that is of a similar color but perhaps has an interesting pattern.

I am usually against painting wood, but in this case, go for it. Groveraxle(great job) makes it look much better with a white or of white. All in all, I think it would be the least expensive way to go. Why replace anything that is working fine? The wood color seems to fight your countertop, on my IPAD.

I would stain them espresso and add nickel hardware. The white seems to wash out the room, your kitchen looks large enough to go with darker cabinets which will get rid of the ho hums it it is suffering from.
