Classic white backsplash works, but consider a different pattern.

I recommend always use a full backsplash in the Kitchen. Subway tile will be okay. Looks like your floor underneath the paper is a weathered brown tile. Consider a tumbled stone backsplash to play off the floor. Also, you could run the Cesarestone up the wall as well.

I don't think a white subway tile will enhance the beauty of the kitchen & floor tiles. Too drastic. I would go with a more subtle stone backsplash.

Thanks, all! I think I agree something more subtle will work better than white subway tile. I don't want anything too busy and the tumbled stone has too many contrasting colors for my tastes though I've seen it work beautifully in others' kitchens.

I could have the Caesarstone countertop installed up the wall to meet the bottom of the cabinets. I was told this look (along with running it up 4") is dated. Any thoughts on this?

Any thoughts on the Caesarstone up the wall to meet bottom of wall cabinets? This would be the easiest option for someone as indecisive as I am but I'm not sure that's a great look. I don't want trendy but is that look "dated" as a few people have told me?

Also, am I going in the wrong direction with Frosty Carina with the color of these cabs, wall and floor?

The Frosty Carina has grayish veins so would a subway tile in a grayish tone work better than white? If so any suggestions? If I go with a tile backsplash, I'm pretty sure I want a solid color tile.

What color/kind of countertops are going in?

I love marble on a counter and running it up the wall. (tho I am not convinced the counter is durable enough for the counter for me)...I would fit a stone which does not detract from the marble back plash. In that event the counter could be solid or very simple, with a marble cap around the counter. There are other ways, but I am tired, sorry. Frosty Carina Countertop...

Found pics online of a kitchen remodel in progress with cabinet similar in color to mine, Frosty Carina Caesarstone countertops, and white subway tile. Thoughts?? I like it. These tiles are not yet grouted. What color? I'm thinking gray to pick up color in the stone. Yay or nay?

Match grout color with tile. You'll see contrast, it will be pretty.

You should pick what makes you happy. If you don't want to add color and contrast then maybe monochromatic would work. Pick a countertop with some beige veins running through it and do a beige subway tile.
