Porch for the long hot Aussie Summers.

I picked the porch because I am sucker for an amazing front porch. However, I like Olive Mill and the Lakehouse as well. All of them look like great places to read a book or write a blog. I am sure I would be a better writer I had a space like this to work in!

They are all such beautiful spaces but we really love the Olive Mill, Rustic Lakehouse, and Sophisticated Surroundings.

I voted for Rustic Lakehouse. I love covered patios where you can sit down and enjoy the falling rain without getting wet..... AND nothing beats a swing on a patio.

If I had to pick one(very hard) most likely the sophisticated one!

The Olive Mill outdoor space is ideal for entertaining.

Just me, I guess, but only a couple of those seem like "outdoor" spaces. The others seem closer to just being inside with all the windows open.

Due to being a fair skinned redhead, best if I stick to sitting out of the sun, so the Lakehouse swing is my favourite. I also enjoy the swing for the relaxation effect, too!

All look great, but love the cozy look of Hillgrove the most.

In the south porches are better than patios. My next house will have a porch!!!

I have discovered that I like almost everything. But along with a certain look comes a certain word called "maintenance". Some of these make me cringe as I consider what it would take to give my place this look. Some make me cringe as I consider the upkeep. I don't have time now to sit outside for very long, as the different areas are taunting me with what I should be doing to tame the wildness and make my yard at least livable, if not attractive. So there are many things I would like--if someone else would take care of it. Since I don't have a money tree to hire someone like that; since I love swings; since the sun gives me headaches as I get older; since I love being outside in the rain but not so much getting wet--I voted for the rustic lakehouse.
Interesting to see what people actually voted for.

It is a toss up here between Olive Mill (great landscaping) and Sophisticated Surroundings (great indoor-outdoor space)

Windsor company hands down! Love the look of big shady trees, green carpet with stepping stones. Looks very peaceful and inviting

They are all beautiful, but none would work for my house - all of the designs are traditional or rustic or cottage, and our home is modern. I wish a modern outdoor design had been featured (I remember one recently at the home of musicians in Australia).

I love and appreciate your comments regarding your cherry kitchen cabinets of 44 years and which your late husband cut down the trees. Reminds me of the BEAUTIFUL movie, "Still Mine" Quality wood such as cherry can be refinished or refaced with a lot of possibilities. I'm neither Black nor White. I believe the user(s), setting/overall style sets the tone of the kitchen/home. We live in the southwest (AZ) and light (lots of it!) rarely comes into play when determining light or dark. It seems that "trend" is more of a factor than simply "white or black." I remember when shopping for move-up homes for our family 10 years ago, viewing (for fun) high-end homes and "white" or "black" kitchens flooring, countertops, cabinetry, etc.), seemed so out-of-date at the time, as "Tuscan" was the new "in". Now, White is trending again, and various wood finishes are out (including cabinetry finishes, countertops and flooring). Ten years ago, my parents' "new" neighbors installed updated black (aged) cabinetry (with their style preference trending a country feel but using black instead of white or any variety of natural wood finishes [dark or light]) and today, still looks gorgeous and fits with the rest of their homes' overall style without looking "dated." My mom recently updated her kitchen with completely custom rebuilt, darkly stained cabinets, a light granite (as opposed to the trending black granites and dark cabinets of a few years ago) and creamy tile floors, also looking beautifully stylish, updated and still gorgeous (without the hardcore "Tuscan" Or "Modern" feel). Suddenly, various granites are no more, and white cabinetry with White Marble is "in." Honestly, white or black is not the only definitive state of perfection. Quality, finish, countertops, flooring, methods of cooking and entertaining affect the end result of the overall look and feel of the kitchen, not simply "black or white".

I chose Lake house also. It looks cool and inviting, relaxing, relatively low maintenance... Single elderly woman in Florida with out great finances.. this is all just dreaming.. but.. remembering my days in the mountains.. this would be nice ...

I picked inside out - mainly because of what you couldn't see - the covered porch with fireplace back at the house looked comfortable and not too out of reach! I wish they had picked a better angle...

Grace Design's, because it's the most tropical looking (give me warmth and sunshine!), I love curves in gardens, and the bench blends seamlessly into Nature. I can almost hear the birds chirping all around...aaaaahhhhh. I'd replace the dead creature accessories with something happier, though.
If there had been a garden with WATER, that would have been even better! And I too would have liked to have seen a "modern" selection as well. Second in line, Sophisticated Surroundings, except for the hard-on-the-back, wrought iron patio furniture.

I see Olive Mill is in the lead atm. For me, it's my least favourite because it looks like someone just pulled their living room furniture outdoors. Sure it looks comfy, but who wants to have to keep that clean? I want to relax outdoors, and I couldn't do that in that "room."

I Love them all but the I have a soft spot for outdoor swings so the Lake house was my choice. I would love to combine the swing with the fireplace of Olive mill!

My favorite outdoor area is my family farm:) The outdoors should be about being outdoors not having your couches or a tv on the porch. Sure it is comfortable but kind of defeats the purpose!

I love the homely feel of the lake house but I already have the fire pit tagged in my idea book as we live rural & it would b an amazing spot to chill with friends

For us, all of them looks great.

Sophisticated surroundings was my overall favorite as it embodies everything that makes outdoor living great! A path for strolling, flora and fauna, dining al fresco, cozy fireplace for enjoying mild nights with friends and family and a pathway to the home.

Olive Mill and the Rustic Lakehouse are neck and neck for my taste in outdoor rooms, but I love the landscaping design in Sophisticated Surroundings with long sweeping curves.

The Hillgrove is where I would want to go with my book and an adult beverage. However that porch swing does look inviting.

Love the Grace Design Associates design. Interesting stucture of the Yuccas with the curved bench and soft pillows. I bet the rest of the design is spectacular.

I am unable to choose, as I love them all. If someone were to build one of these outdoor spaces for me, I would have to say, "Surprise me!".

When you put sophisticated alongside another word is obvious that one is the one!!!!!

I vote "Inside Out", coz simple and integrated with nature and do not require excessive maintenance.

Grace designs by far!!! Inspired, subtly sophisticated, care requirements conscious of its location. The rest are predictable.

Really hard to choose, I only settled on Windsor because the whole property sounds amazing. Olive Mill would be my dream patio, Rustic would be my dream cabin porch and I love the front porch. Didn't like some because of they plantings or to much grass, but for the most part they are all pretty great.

I love the fire pit! Great space for gathering with loved ones, neighbors and friends on a cool summer or crisp fall night!

Olive Mill, Rustic Lakehouse, Hillgrove. We live in an area where we would we need a covered space. They are ALL beautiful however.

I love the fireplace in the Olive Mill home! Also the very comfortable seating. Lovely!

Where's one with a water feature, like a koi pond or a fountain? That would have been my first choice if there had been one included in the group.

I voted for Inside Out because that's what suits us now (easy care and always there!) -- but Rustic Lakehouse is very nostalgic to my childhood growing up in the Adirondacks.
