Hi. We are redoing a shower and I am doing a 3x6 subway tumbled travertine tile on the walls and a natural river rock floor in the bottom of the shower. Is it better to tile the walls first, going all the way down as much as possible and THEN putting rocks up to wall? Or do you lay sheets of river rocks first all the way to edges and bring the shower walls on top of it. Seems like seal/edge would be better doing walls first, and pebbles up to it, using extra rocks and grout to fill in gaps? Looking for expert opinions! Thank you!
