I just bought a new home and want to refinish the hardwood floors throughout, including the stairs and banister.

Currently they are 'natural'. The 'floor guy' suggest I stain them. He said the tone of the wood will be more even if they are stained. He's suggesting the color 'Early American'.

I'm clueless. The only thing I do know is I don't want to go very dark because I've read it shows a lot of dust.

My home is a colonial built in 2000. I like contemporary style.
I like the natural but if a stain looks better, I can switch.
What do you all think?
