My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    Hi. Good question! That is actually considered a ladder and does not need to meet the stair code because it accesses a space less than 200sf. You should check your local code to be sure it is the same. Of course you may also choose to exceed the code requirements depending on who will be using the ladder. Thanks for asking. John

    "Exceed" code requirements? How does this effect homeowners insurance?
    I have an unused attic space that currently has a pull down.
