Decorative Window film? A shade on the bottom only? All suggestions welcome. The bottom window is 54 x 32 inches.

PRO10 years agoFor a window in a bathroom, I would suggest a faux wood blind. You would mount this on the outside of the window trim and gain privacy, and the option for a view when you would like. Faux wood is ideal for a bathroom, because the material is resistance to moisture and humidity. There are lots of colors to choose from.

PRO10 years agoDefinitely look into shades with a top-down bottom-up option. Based on your photo you would need to mount the shade in an outside mount setup so a slimmer profile shade like a honeycomb / cellular shade will work quite well.

PRO10 years agoTop-down/Bottom-up honeycomb shades are a great option. Check out Hunter Douglas Duette shades. They have some great control options for tight spaces. We would also recommend a 2 1/2" Hunter Douglas Newstyle Shutter with a divider rail. The casing frame will go around your existing frame and the divider rail could be placed at the natural divide in your window. The hybrid material will hold up great in a humid bathroom.
