Actually, looking at the photo from the distance, either one looks good.

I like the shape of the larger one, but the size of the smaller one looks like it fits better!

If you cover up half the picture and look at each one separately, the right one looks much better!! IMHO :-)

i prefer left, it has more substance to it. Your kitchen should have other black accents or else black handles may stand out to much.

We prefer the one to the right. It offers a cleaner look.

I suggest you post the picture of the whole kitchen. The cabinets have to be in sync with the holistic view of the whole place. But just looking at the pic you posted, I'd suggest you go with the one on the right, as it's more modern and contemporary.

Also, design wise, the positioning of the handles is a bit off. it's better you move them to the centre of the bottom glass.

Select the right pull handle... it go better with the modern style of your cabinet door, the other one is too old fashion and would look better on a raise panel oak/maple door.

Lots of comments, think everyone could make a better judgement and suggestion if we could all see more of the scale of the kitchen . If you have a lot of cabinents, up and down black may be too busy and overpowering.

I think the one on the left is a better scale for the door, and should ride through a good few trend waves.

Do you have more black throughout the kitchen? If not, don't use black handles. Do you want a bold look or a delicate look?

Left, right, left, right . . . geez it sounds like a drill sergeant. LOL Of the two you showed I like the one on the right better, as long as it is sized to be able to get to with your hand. I hate the little pulls that you have to use your thumb & index finger to open.

I vote for the one on the right. Cleaner and less country-fied unless that's the look you're after.

The one to the right looks better because the size fits the cabinet better, however, I wouldn't actually choose either. The black looks too harsh against the white of the cabinets. Consider a chrome or brushed nickel instead.

Right, since it is contrasting with the shutter colour....small is nice.... Big if you make the fixture same colour as cabinet shutter :)

Are you confused yet? I agree with those who say neither. I'm in this same situation, white cabs looking for hardware. You need to pay attention to how things flow in your kitchen. Follow the faucet, etc. stay with something that will tie into your other metal choices. Black is too harsh and heavy. Knobs also bring a lighter feel on the top cabinets. Enjoy your new kitchen!

As a Le Cordon Bleu trained individual who cooks constantly, the handle must address more than just aesthetics. The handles must be "user-friendly", which means they shouldn' t stab your hand when you reach for them, nor should they be smaller than the hand that uses them. FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION. Aesthetics and form can be applied with equal success.

I like the one on the left. And, add a darker accent (paint or paper) to the cabinet back to make your glassware "pop".

Right one..the left looks a little outdated..to large for cabinet style.

Not sure why this old thread popped up in my Activity today but I figured I'd share a follow up.

I chose the right pull. I thought the oil rubbed bronze color tied in the dark dining furniture and dark brown in the backsplash tile. All cabinets were already drilled for handles, not knobs.

This kitchen was installed in 1990 - but the white cabinets and white counters made it easy to work with. All we did was change the pulls and wall color.
