I'm considering buying a sideboard and using it as a buffet but I'm concerned that it may be overshawdowed by the dining room table, since it's a relatively small city dining room. The table is 94 inches long, 30 inches high and, 47 inches wide. The potential sideboard is 19 inches long, 27 inches tall and 63 inches wide. The sideboard would be sitting 40 inches from the end of the table which is at the far end of the dining room. My concern is that when you walk in the house you would only see the ends of the sideboard since it would be lower than the table. Should I go for something higher and less wide?
