We recently purchased an early 1900 home and need help with the layout of the kitchen. It is 11x14 with 10 foot ceilings. Everything will be replaced except the original heart pine floors, which are being refinished, and the windows. One problem is the bottom of the windows are below counter level. In the attached pictures, the first few are taken from the dining room. The door on the left, between the fridge and sink, leads to what will be a mud room. Ideas please.
