New spot for microwave

We have moved our fridge. I got a new microwave and am thinking about putting it in the empty spot and am planning on getting new stone countertops and. Extending the countertop. The space is 36" wide. The microwave is 24" wide. I'm thinking about enclosing the microwave and having a cubby approx. 11" wide. Any thoughts???
My contractor will be here Tuesday.

First of all, I LOVE your brick wall with the ovens--absolutely gorgeous!

It looks like you have a nice big storage area so if doing that would enhance the flow of your kitchen, I'd go for it.
