Such a nice spacious kitchen. My advice it to get granite to go with your cabinets and flooring, not worry about wall color. Cabinets and flooring are more permanent, paint, though not cheap or an easy job, is not permanent. Also, you didn't mention it, but once you get new counters you'll want a stylish backsplash too. Remove the existing before you put in new counters.

I agree with adivra - it is so much more important to find a countertop that you love. The paint colour can easily be changed. My suggestion would be to think about a quartz countertop - they don't have the same upkeep requirements of granite. If you did go granite, I would choose a relatively solid coloured piece in dark grey/black. Then find a backsplash tile that you love and add that at the same time. Something as simple as a subway tile (white, cream, taupe, grey, pale blue, olive green, etc.) would bring a classic but updated look. Have fun!
