This is wasted space(221/4" x 23 1/2" x 72") in my foyer of a 1042 sq ft condo on Embarcadero st., San Francisco waterfront. I would like to design this space as a small bar/ small art upper shelf(s). To increase the perception of size, I see adding glass to the back wall. Then adding thick glass shelves, perhaps with a tint. I also would like to have recessed lighting added to the top portion. Due to the cement ceiling, this will prove difficult. Perhaps I need to build have a case built with canister lighting....??
Any suggestions as far as this vision? Any recommendations on how to attach the shelves? How to build/install the lighting? What materials do you see? Notice electrical outlet just below.
