Is there a term that describes the varying shingle exposure sizes?

Really like the look of the small exposure every 4-5 rows and having a hard time communicating this to my siding contractor. Any idea if this could be accomplished with Hardiplank or Hardishingle? Thanks.

It's called "alternating exposure". Look at my "Modern Shingle II" to see what it looks like with Hardie.

    Good luck!
