Help for color

Hello,

I've buy this and not yet sure for the color for the main room =/

Can any one give me advice ?

My idea was to play with 2 colors ( the main color around the white and the other one darker for one-2 walls max)

Thanks

Hi---congrats on your new space... I think a taupe/gray hue ideal for your space... Dark and light for you---check BM's Nimbus and Willow Creek. Hope this is helpful... Good Luck!

Light red is pink is that what you want on a big wall in this space I think that is scary. Red is a very intense color I would still wait until all the rest of the pieces are in before painting anyof these walls red.

I wouldn't go for red, if you do your going to have to use a second color which may get expensive and tiring

The light blue in that link looks better than the red, IMO . Red is too intense

I posted the pic because I am curious as to what 'light shade of red' the homeowner was interested for this space.

If u want this to pop, get Teal. If you want it to blend, go analogous with idk earth colors. I guess the one who said it depends on the furniture but you should really cater more to the predominant color which is a yellowish orange

The space is lovely and can be very striking. It seems as though it gets adequate light. That being said, the amount of light it gets should be a key factor regarding color choice, value and finish.
The natural stain on the wood surfaces imbues the space with energy and the white is actually a nice contrast to this stain color, Typically- a natural stain needs a contrast to make a statement and the wood tone should be considered a color.
If most of the light is confined to the window area ,then I would say that is where you can play with color and value for contrast and drama. I love a gray flannel with camel( your wood color) for contrast-either on a limited wall area, or fabrics on a sofa or chair or pillows-
If light is not an issue-

B Moore Sailcloth , on walls or moldings or both. Your wood tone is the third color-
I usually work from the floor up in determining my color pallet. That is just a personal choice .Select an area rug that really turns your head. Audition it in the space ( not the store) and select 2 colors from the rug (that do not compete with the wood tone) -that really speak to you. That will help to inform your color way decision.

Remember your kitchen back splash when considering style ,color ,finish.
An open floor plan requires rooms to flow one to the other.-in a unifying way.
They need not be identical in color or value , just complimentary.

Everyone has a jumping off point, for color- mine is the floor- and of course colors I love living in which never scream "that was so 5 minutes ago! "

    What fun ,good luck!

For some reason this picture posted up here and I can't get rid of it!

Since you're done my opinion isn't that important but can I make a few observations? Tablecloths don't generally work and certainly not with your décor or that accent wall. It makes that whole table set look odd. Second, if you still have some paint, perhaps you can think about painting that adjoining wall to the same size as the current one, so that you have a nice little accented corner. It would make that red really pop plus define the dining area better. Please think about getting another rug, one that incorporates the red and blue, as well as the grey. I couldn't find a good example but these give a little bit of an idea.

    You need lighting

And a blue painting for the red wall

and a red/red blue for above the credenza by your sliding glass doors. The picture at the top was supposed to go here!

Anyway, my point was to pull that red and blue into a few other areas in the room!
