Why not mix and match white and dark wood finishes? I love this white dresser from west elm. It would be beautiful paired with a dark wood or upholstered headboard.

I see Wood headboard with dark stain, also dark stained hardware for your window treatments. Keep your bedding and draperys tone on tones, grey's, whites, off whites, maybe with a pop of a cocoa pillow. Gorgeous ~ good luck!

You must look at the muse bed by hickory chair. A unique bed that is both contemporary and warm because of the fabric frame. Just the right amount of wood. Let me know if I can assist with a purchase. Most designers like myself would offer a discount off of retail.

This bedroom has a neutral palette. Either white or dark brown works well depending on the rest of your house and your style.

I stumbled across your design dilemma and had a few ideas. I love the dark wood floors against the pale grey walls with white moldings. I suggest to use a tufted charcoal grey head board with bedding in other shades of grey and chocolate. Accent the room with black and white geometric patterned pillows, wicker storage and rattan window and wall accessories. All tones and textures are interchangeable and will make an attractive statement for years to come. Ciao!
