If you do nothing else, change the lighting...it's killing the ambiance of your elegant space. like high beams in an interrogation room! Secondly, the furniture and accessories need lighter and cooler updating. Get away from the brown accessories and wall art in the dining area. Consider new artwork, prints, and brighter, table decor. Disclosure: I am not a decorator but an artist...once you've got the lighting add one or two paintings or art prints to inspire a new color scheme and accessories. Your neutral wall color in fine...

Hi---better lighting and LIGHT area rugs and pillow... Also, all of your wall art is hung too high. Center of art should be 57-62" from floor---think 'eye level'... Very nice colors... Good Luck!
