Back Splash for Laundry Room

Please help! I am having a hard time deciding on the best backsplash for our laundry room remodel. I am attaching several pictures of th 2-3 tiles that we have selected to choose from. All of them are shades of grey and i am hoping you are able to see enough of the color to determine the one you think will look best. It will only let me attach 4 pictures. i will try to add 4 more after i post to give you more visuals. Please ask any questions you have and thank you very much for helping decide the best option.

HI -- Have you compared a glossy cream tile ? I think going lighter will give you a cleaner look and not be so dark .

here are a few other pictures. Also, there aren't any windows in the laundry room. Its a small space leading leading from the garage into the kitchen area. thanks

Hi---I like both the middle and the one on the left---in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th pics you posted. I am more drawn to the middle though... Hope this is helpful. Good Luck!

thanks for all your input. As a reference, the middle tile in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th picture is the tile in the 5th picture (close-up w/ a piece of the granite) at the store.

I also like that lighter grey but also kinda liked the uniqueness of the wavy tile next to it in the 5th picture. Since the room is blue and the washer/dryer and cubbie is all white in that room i thought darker might give a nice contrast. No??

also, I was thinking White Grout to have any of them pop. Is that what you all would agree with?

I like the middle one and I would grout it with the exact color as shown on the board. Plenty of contrast... :)

I actually think the darkest one with the waves looks the best with the countertop. It has more interest than the other tiles without being too busy. I think this space will look better with a contrast and the area is small so it won't make it too dark. I wouldn't go bright white on the grout, but I would pull a lighter tone from the countertop to use as the grout color so you don't get clashing whites.

Would you paint your wall the darkest color in the granite? Probably not so pick a lighter color that won't darken your room and will best call attention to the counters.

This would be dramatic if you picked a light and medium color from the granite.

I think what might be throwing it off for you is that the wall color is quite deep and has a lot of blue. It would have been easier if you had selected the backsplash and painted after it was installed. I would have suggested SW's Knitting Needles for your space. I hope this is helpful. :)

makes sense. we didn't change the wall color during the remodel as it was painted just a year ago. so, still the middle tile vs the wavy one on the right? for some reason I am drawn to the uniqueness of the way tile but have a hard time picturing a whole wall that dark.

I like the far left tile the best with your granite and your cabinets. It adds a nice contrast that completes the look.

Yes, I happen to like the wavy tile best, but not for your space. Reason? Because the cabinets are white---paired with the dark wavy tile, they will appear very stark in the room. If you want the wavy tile, then paint the cabs. :)

A small room with dark walls will always look smaller. The lighter the walls the larger the room will look. Love the mirror. It's design already has competition from the granite and a patterned tile will make the room look too fussy. I would also go for the lighter grey tile. It reflects light. When and if you do repaint I would choose a lighter tone of the color of the tile.
