A single large piece of artwork would be a convention way to finish the wall.

Maybe something like an old barn door distressed white, or a replica. You could even mount a framed piece of art on the door. Love your dining room, it's beautiful!

Try to look at estate sales or antique/vintage shops. Perhaps there is a wonderful old screen, architectural fragment, painting, sign, drawing or tapestry that will take pride of place on that wall. Sounds like a fun task, I'm glad you see the value in old things!

You should add a long console table to that wall to use as a server. Adding a console will also help ground the artwork. We would like to suggest doing a series of framed botanical prints to add a touch of color or an oil painting in a weathered frame.

Your table and light fixture are strong elements. Adding small framed pictures will not work as well as a large framed picture. Barn implements will work against the wood and iron you already have in the room; not that they wouldn't be in keeping with your theme but I think the other elements would be diminished. I suggest a single pastoral colorful piece.

Here are some ideas. You don't need to fill the entire wall. Just hang something large and beautiful and let the space around it give it drama.

We like the idea of using a series of smaller pictures precisely because of the table and chandelier in the space. Both the table and chandelier are larger scaled pieces and adding a single larger picture could end up being redundant. We find that the most successful rooms feature a mix of large, medium, and small scaled items. Because the series we recommended features one subject matter and generous neutral mats it will not appear "busy" or distract from the other elements in the room and it will add a much needed smaller scale to the decor.

I like the idea of a large piece of art which sets the mood and is there for all to contemplate and enjoy. The smaller elements are in the dining room in the form of bowls, plates, glasses, etc. and even chairs because they are multiples of the same thing. Beautiful art can't compare to formula bits and pieces hung on a wall to fill space or just add color.

So I finally decorated the wall and it looks great I love it. I just need to choose between botanical prints or black and white city pictures. My only question is what do you think, should I add a console table or does it look like enough? On the other side maybe a console table looks weird since it probably won't be as long as the pictures since they occupy like 105 inches

Agree that they look a bit too high. You could remove two pictures from each side and make another row below what you already have. Or, leave the arrangement as is and hang a rustic shelve below them the full length of the pics. They look great; good job.

Thank you guys!! That's what I tought that they may be too high. The thing is the chair's back are too high so the frames were getting covered by them. I tought it would look weird. I'll try the idea of moving the last 2 and put them below and see how it looks

Old barn wood all across the entire wall.

I think I am going to stick with the height took me a while to do it with a 2 year old trying to help me all the time. The images are great, but really mounted too high. Anything else you do will be a bandage solution. Compare the two images.

I see your point Beverly. I'll take time a weekend to change them. Anyway I have to still decide what to put inside the frames and I'll do it after I get that. Thanks for taking the time and doing this
