Very nice, fits the condo style.

Love the layout, but the TV could have been mounted on the wall, as the picture scale is off, also that same wall could have used a punch of colour....

Great palette and choices. My only change would be getting a sofa that had the chaise on the window side to gaze out the window. I know it's probably suppose to divide the space, but there's not much space behind the chairs in any case.

Great job! I agree the floor lamp lighting the ceiling is outdated and looks out of place. The room does need lighting, maybe a table with a lamp on each side of the sectional. New throw pillows would be a finishing touch. Use pillow covers and you can change them out easily when you need a change.

Excellent job! I have only one question: are those plastic dining room chairs? If so, please replace with something equally as elegant as the rest of the furniture. Also, think of your guests behinds please!

They say it's great to 'bring the outdoors in' and usually that means green -and couch art is exactly like the view! Above our tv we hung a rectangular black framed neutral piece which sort of echoes an awful tv... you buy something at a really cheap place like Big Lots and then you find such a place for it....which you didn't but...:)

Leather dining chairs? Very nice! So happy they aren't plastic! : )

Looks great; love the colors. Agree with others about the lamp and pic over the TV. I'd have to have some kind of blinds/drapes/something for the windows. Fine uncovered during the day but not at night imho no matter how wonderful the view.

Looks great, congrats. I would only take away the floor lamp next to the buffet and instead put a nice lamp on the roof on top of the dining table

I really like it. Question: Where did you get the coffee table?

I'm from the far west suburbs of Chicago. My son moved to Lakeview for a year with friends (yes I decorated their apartment ...haha!) and he loved the city life. Not for me though, I like my space and elbow room too much. So, with city living you have to be very creative with space, I don't see that here.

I'm sorry guys, I think you did a nice job "cleaning up" the place.....But if you actually chose the furnishings, lighting, colors and the works.....Yikes. It's simply awful.

It's cluttered, unwelcoming, poor use/choice of furniture. Simply awful. I wouldn't brag on this on guys. City life should consist of clean lines, multi use furnishings and "Wow me"

They asked for an opinion, I gave it. I didn't ask them out for coffee, or ask for friendship. That's not what they are looking for I'm sure.

They could have done much better than that. Opinion granted.

Well maybe most of them @Bickhaus Homes as a professional on houzz or in the industry in general, we would have expected some level of professionalism in your comment about this project and any feedback other than just saying how bad we did or like - "Yikes. It's simply awful" would have been accepted with great respect.

By just sayin what you would of might done differently than us or actually our customer because if you would have took the time to actually look at our profile and some more pictures of this project you would of seen that we are a Remodeling company and we don't just "cleaning up" places, and don't provide furnishing services at all to our customers,so by you saying this things about this project and probably any of our project you don't only insult us you insult our customers and their individual tastes and we will NOT agree to that.

Our customers do and alway come first and if you don't like our taste or theirs for this matter there are better way to say it as a "Professional". In this business as most of us know we do work together a lot and relay on each other to make people's houses and condos a place to call "home" and a place to be proud of as this homeowner is as you can see in her review on our page as well.

So thanks or no thanks for your unhelpful and rude comment about us and our customers style and taste and we will make sure that the next time any of customer will need some help with furnishing their "Home" we WON'T contact you!! and will contact many of the other professionals on here that we do work with on a daily bases.

Thank you all again for the great feedbacks we really do appreciate ALL the constructive criticism good and bad as long as it's respectful to our customers and something to learn from as we always like to learn.

@Bickhaus... What 123Remodeling said was the point I was trying to make without actually calling you rude but I guess I should have just said that. As a business person, particularly with "Pro" status on this site, you should be presenting yourself in the best light possible to gain new business and so many pros do just that. No matter how good you may be at design, attitude is far more important to build client trust. The days of the diva are over because there are too many alternatives in the market now. The most successful designers are those who are concerned with their clients and conduct themselves as professionals regardless of their personal opinions or the arena.

Many decades ago, I was schooled in floral design by one of the top designers in the world at the time. Students from the world over came for his classes. We went to the Cleveland, Ohio, art museum and he informed us that we would be seeing things we loved and things we hated but to be very careful about saying we hated something since we had no idea if the artist or the owner or the curator might be standing close by. He suggested we convey our personal distaste with a particular object by saying, "My, how unusual!" Others in our group would understand our comment yet feelings would not be hurt. Those are words I brought back home with me and, now, three generations later that phrase has become our family's secret code. If I had learned nothing else, that phrase was worth its weight in gold.

Nice! I recently got laminated floors. Under the carpet there was linoleum. I have spots of glue along with the floors that hold every single smudge. Any recommendations. I can't wait to get finish with this. I have another level of appreciation for people who do full remodels. LOL

Overall great layout. I would add more pops of bright colours via the pillows and wall art or the rug. I may add a mirror above the buffet. However all these depend on the personal taste of the occupant(s).

I would happily spend some time there! There may be a few minor things others have already pointed out, but I think the owners must be so pleased! Congrats!

Loved it except for the floor light. Also is the tv stand from Ikea?

Nice but the colors in the living room, grey and yellows , have the same tonal value- in other words look bland as there is no contrast. Maybe you could have introduced texture or pattern but the overall effect is pleasant - its not edgy or "wow" , just a nice comfortable and homely space and that is what most people want, I suppose.
I just think for a Chicago apartment with that amazing city architecture on view , I just wanted more.

Nice job, very pretty. The only thing I would change is the door trim in the hallway. My observation is that it looks dated.

Love the open floorplan and the large windows! Great subtle use of color as well. Nice job.
