There is nothing in that picture that will be improved by the current fad of slapping gray paint on it. It's lovely as is.

I agree with Sophie. I don't care for gray with medium tone woods.

You could go with one of the colors in the backsplash such as the followiing. If you find a color you like but it's too light, go a shade darker and vice versa. Any paint company can match any paint color if you give them the color code.
