This dresser was plain brown, but in great shape. I didn't have time to strip the top, so I left it as is. I painted it for my daughter's Christmas present. Although the pics show it to look blue/purple, it's not due to lighting. I used Behr premium plus paint and the base coat only took one. The color of the base was Juniper Ash and then I added in English Channel. The faux painted side (both are done), show the colors a bit better. This is my first attempt at faux. I hope she likes it!
