Paint Color

Just purchased the Elliot sectional from Macy's in vintage and I am now struggling to find the right gray color to paint my walls. I want a true gray and not one that has blue or green undertones. Some I have liked are: SW - Mindful Gray, BM - Revere Pewter and BM - Stormy Monday. Any thoughts?

The best thing you can do is a buy a sample of each of those colors, apply the paint to the wall you're going to paint and see what you think. The color is very dependent on the light in your home so what works in one person's won't look the same in another person's.

Thanks for the idea. I have already done that. And I definitely see that most colors look completely different on the walls than they do on the web or in the color wheels. Here's my pic.

HI -- BM's Revere Pewter has a green under tone , which you said you didn't want . Try BM's "Silver Fox " that is in their new 2015 colors for the year .

Revere pewter does not have green undertones. I use it all the time and I hate green.

HI -- Yes Revere Pewter is a great color , I call it a moody color because it changes to the mood of the room and time of day .

Thanks for the thoughts…I have added 2 additional colors to my "mix"…BM Stonington gray and Covington Gray. I am leaning toward Coventry Gray and Revere Pewter.
