Outdated Kitchen Remodel

As part of a whole house renovation, the kitchen was definitely one of the highlights. We kept the mechanicals in the same position, but updated all fixtures. We love our Danby Marble countertops and the deep apron front sink. Actually we love everything!!! We did not work with a designer, but we looked at, quite literally, thousands of pictures here on Houzz! Hope you like!!

Fidelity General Contractors Inc. The color on the Cabinets is PPG's Tempered Steel. We knew we wanted painted cabinets, but we absolutely did NOT want white! We love the color combo with the Danby Marble .

Great job! I like the contrast with the new flooring. The cabinet color is gorgeous! And great choice on removing the old pantry and putting in this wall unit. Also, glad to see you embraced glass front cabinets, some people are afraid of them as it takes a bit more work to keep them organized.

@DreamSpace Interiors Corp. Thank you so much! The floor came out a lot darker than originally planned, and I was understandably concerned about their upkeep. To my surprise (and relief) they only require a light dusting occasionally, and damp mopping once every three weeks. I love the glass front cabinets! The key is to keep enough solid door cabinets to hide the mess... Don't open those doors! Hahaha

Are the glass front cabinets custom. I have someone coming by to pick my cabinets fronts up to insert glass hope they turn out great.

We have similar soffets-I think this is what the boxed area above the cupboards is called. Can see them in your before pictures. We have them in our entire kitchen ceiling. A contractor recomended to leave them since they probably hold the wiring, etc.. How did you deal with these?

@niverma The bulk heads were empty for the most part. We only had one HVAC register that could not be completely rerouted. We solved this with a dummy panel in the upper cabinet directly adjacent to the fridge, and covered it with a full height door. So from the outside, it looks consistent. Only when you open that one cabinet can you tell that it isn't open all the way to the ceiling. The thing to do is just to make a small hole and look inside the bulk heads. They are usually pretty empty. Hope that helps.
