What do you think about squared and round together?

I like this one a lot too! I really want light and airy.

I am definitely open to anything that looks good together, really!

Sorry, I posted before I saw yours pics. I like the second one you posted and they have a similar silver version I think is great! Only afraid it might be too shiny?

The first two are very in line with dining set, and I like the lighter version of those too. Classic.

Have you looked at Robert abbey and Jonathan Adler? That is what I think of when I hear modern and glam.

I probably love johnathan Adler more than I should. It's so clean and beautiful but not cold and stiff! As far as "glam", I'm not afraid of a few crystals or punchy color. I like the combo of simple and bling in this one. 3x my budget though! My tough decision is how do I chose one first and will one overpower the other...?

Right! So the set pictured is really similar, not much metal detail at all. None on the table/chairs. And the handles in the buffet could easily be switched if need be. But, yes I'm going for brushed nickel or even the "winter/silver gold" color some brands have. Just no oil rubbed bronze, switching it up this time! I guess I lean toward transitional, not ultra modern but would prefer that over ultra traditional. I'm not feeling the spudnicks. I'm really just hoping for some help picking complementary pieces that don't necessarily match. Was considering a small chandy in the foyer and an elongated/multiple drum for the dining. Or not. I really like. Lot of different things! I saw that the pieces you posted first have a johnathan Adler look alike. I kinda like that chandelier.

Here's a few different colour cards. The third from the bottom on the middle card is the wall colour. I'm looking at the greys on either side. A darker one for lowers and a lighter on the same card for uppers.

I *think* I like the third from the bottom on the left, and the one just above it. Too dark?

The zgallerie Jupiter light is well priced and I have seen a knockoff (with good reviews) of the robbery abbey bling chandelier on overstock.

I actually have the same dilemma as you and decided that I will likely have my more interesting light over the dining table and something more simple in the foyer since our staircase is already a focal point there. Depending on how modern you want to go, I was considering a George Nelson bubble lamp for my foyer. They are well priced and iconic.

Lowes has just put a new orb chandelier in their lighting section at under $200 and that's including the Edison bulbs in that price. Looks amazing and stunning with our danish teak dining mid modern chairs and west elm dining table. Highly suggest you check out west elm as well for mid modern furnishings and lighting. A very fresh approach to clean lines at decent prices.
