How did you treat the desktop? Is it stain and a lacquer? If so, what color is the stain?

    The desktop is made from T&G vertical grain wood flooring, and is finished with a hand applied polyurethane.

    Would like more detail on desktop. It looks thicker than the usual flooring. And would love to know the stain (mfg and color). Is there a lip on the top, is that why it looks thicker? Thanks for whatever ddetail ...and what is supporting the desk?
