hi - we are looking to update (make more traditional rather than just modern) our 1961 house in the Bellevue area and are looking for architect referrals (we are very early in this stage) who have taken on a project like this in the past. We ideally want to take a phased approach to manage the budget. We have some ideas: cutting back the overhang on the rafters, possibly wrapping the chimneys, and replacing the front door and windows on the front of the house. We have thought about shingles for the 2nd story and lap siding for the main/lower level and even a metal roof (we have cedar shingles that will need replacing in the next few years). We love some of the Paul Moon interior pictures on Houzz, but have not contacted him yet. We need someone who help us transform but don't want to break the bank - at least all at once...

any ideas or referrals would be very helpful!
