Hi jadenella, since you have the space for it, I would go with separate 5x7 powder room and the other space of 6x7 with a sink and shower.

Design suggestion are dependent on the long term use of the space. By your framing the question around short term guests(this is a great party and where is the bath room) or long term (day to day usage). A design can be shaped. If it is short term then, pedestal sink and an sexy low slung toilet.separated from the remainder of the bath. If it is possible to steal another 12" with from an adjacent room. I would put the pedestal sink on one wall and the toilet on the other in the 1st 3 feet. Then use secret panel with as the door to the other functions of the remaining space. If long term with frequent over night guest or elder parents I would use a full vanity and 19" high toilet.
separating the two spaces with a 3' french pocket door w. obscuring glass or white plex as the egress. The remainder of the space should be a wet room roll in shower with a stack washer dryer or the one piece compact w/d that uses a high speed dehumidifier system. raise the one piece unit to allow under unit storage and ease of access and use the above area as a drip dry sink with closet rod. I used this sink for a raised litter box for a client's cat.( an alternative use of the sink may be used to wash small to med sized dogs or small children. The wet room designs means the whole space flows into single drain located at the door. This allows the floor to be tilted slightly from back to front for drainage without creating a wheel chair barrier.
