You can purchase the "Clymer" books online from amazon or barnes and noble. There small print, but are better than nothing.

I wanted the same thing a couple of years ago and after an Amazon.com search decided that there were too many to buy without knowing how good they were.

I went to the public library and was able to find most or all of them that were on Amazon and checked them out. Then after looking at all of them, I bought 4-5 from Amazon and they have worked very well. All of them are similar but different and some jobs require me to look at two books to get a clear picture of how to do something but they have already more than paid for themselves.

I would like to suggest that you buy yourself a good working compression tester to go along with your new hobby. This will help you seperate the good engines from the ones that are going to need pistons and cylinders etc. Consider buying or making a good spark tester and a multimeter for your toolbox too.
