That is a busy granite ,go with something simple for a modern look,have you looked at quartz countertops??? All of the new homes in our area our switching to quartz,very pretty

What color are your cabinets and have you selected a wall color? The granite you selected is very pretty. I do agree with Brandi that the current trend is Quartz, which gives a more subtle appearance, but design is about what you like and what you are drawn to. Since you have selected this granite, work with it. It has some wonderful warm tones and could lend itself nicely to another current trend of greys, whites and golds that are turing up in designer kitchens.

Hi! Thanks for the quick response! The granite is installed already. The current cabinets will either be repainted or restained (for now white or something in that range). Not sure about the walls either; right now they are a peachy color. You are right, it is a busy granite! I seem to like the creams and the grays in it. I've attached another picture, which shows part of the counter, some of the cabinet color and the floor. Decisions! Decisions!!

Since you have hardwood floors, I would consider painting the cabinets white or off white and doing a very simple backsplash in the same color. I would also paint the adjacent walls in a warm gray, taupe, or greige to offset the cabinets. Not sure what the name of your stone is, but hope these pictures help you to visualize what white cabinets would look like with a similar granite. It's going to be beautiful. Good luck! I would search for pictures of your granite on Houzz to see what cabinets and backsplash are used with it.

adelfie71, I agree with the previous posts. Keep the cabinets light, with a contrasting color on the walls. I would make the walls darker than the cabinets. You can go white, or light grey on the cabinets, picking up on the warmth in the granite. For the backsplash, keep it neutral, but also keep it big. By that I mean, stay away from small mosaics. The pattern in the granite is busy and dominate, you don't want to compete with a backsplash made up of small pieces with a lot of variation. A large 3x6 subway tile or a 6x6 square, as pictured above would be nice, in a single "color" and "texture". Your counter tops are the element with "movement and motion", everything should play off of that.
