It's not that crazy, as long as you are not really PAINTING it. Use white marble, parquet, or vinyl. Remember to take extra maintenance so it won't get dirty easily.

Why Not ? Decorators white will be a good choice , white looks calm and anything you put on it shows Beautifully .

What kind of trim do you have around your doors, windows, and baseboards? What kind of flooring? This should be factored into your decision. I think houses with stained wood trim--especially (but not exclusively) dark trim--can look fabulous with all white walls, calling attention to the wood and lightening the effect. OTOH, if your trim is painted white, then I always prefer to use colors on the walls so that the white trim can pop. But they can be subtle, light colors so you get a similarly light effect. Or if you just want everything white--walls and trim--that can have a very contemporary, minimalist look.

I had painted my loft apartment white but we had an accent wall ( scarlet red painted bricks already there) as an accent. I found that having that color helped cause I started to tired of the white after a year. I needed to change up the accents more then I did I think... I am in a new house now and I am finding myself going right back to the white for our new kitchen but am going to do the ceiling as a med. grey. I find I need more going on to be happy.

I agree with feeny, have you picked out other finished for the house ? ie: trim color, flooring, tiles, cabinet? There is nothing wrong with all white walls, but all the elements should be working together.

we have rather dark floors and will be re-doing the tiles in the kitchen. Oour kitchen is also expresso coloured with a light counter top. We tend to have lots of chocolate brown and black decor. The trim will be re-done to include 6inch baseboards as well as crown moulding added. The other option is to go with a light grey like revere pewter by BM-any other suggestions woutd be appreciated!

SW Frosty White is a pale, pale grey, almost white, but softer. I'm very fond of it. I also love white walls, but my husband doesn't.
