Hi,

I have a tree in my yard that I can't identify. I never actually planted it. The tree came in somehow by bird, squirrel or whatever, and grew from seed. It is now about 30 feet tall. It produces green round seeds and freely self sows nearby in my garden--baby trees even start to sprout in over 90 degree heat! The leaves are quite unsual looking to me, and I haven't been able to find a tree that looks quite like it even by searching on the web. From what I've been reading the leaf this has is palmate (shaped like the palm of a hand????). The leaves have up to 11 leaflets--mostly eleven (only fewer on the tinier leaves).

I'm going to try to post some pics I took of it today in the blast furnace that is Southern Cal right now.
