There is a Canadian supplier called TRAX, distributed by Unique Fine Fabrics in Woodbridge, ON.

They sell the drapery rings you require, which are large rings, with a teensy ring beneath it for the drapery pin to slip through (no clips).
They retail for between $14 and $18 for a pack of 10 rings. (more expensive rings are the ones with plastic inserts inside so they don't screech across the metal rod)
Count up how many drapery pins are on your drapes, and bite the bullet!

Just wondering if you can hang drapes with pins from door knob rings?

Whenever we have done a drapery treatment involving knobs installed into the wall, we have had to have loops sewn into the drapery fabric, as there is no place for the drapery pin to be inserted. The loop is made just big enough to go around the knob, and holds the drapery in place. This is only used for panels that are stationary, of course.
