Leo runs a pitaya group on Yahoo. They have more information on dragon fruit there than any other place I have found. I have never bought from him, but he also has unusual varieties for sale. I will send you their e-mail.

Thanks Baci! I never got the email if you were able to send it? Do you have a link to the Pitaya group you can post? I lost one of the three blooms already but the other two look good so far and will probably flower in the next couple nights? Last time I did not loose them until after they flowered but this time I lost the one before. I am trying to keep it out of the rain while still allowing it to get direct sunlight which involves putting it under the patio cover everytime it starts to rain. Unfortunately this is a difficult task lately with it raining 6-10 hours of every day here! Thanks again!

I found the Yahoo group. I have never used them before but now see that it is fairly simple to look for a group there. I couldn't find an answer to my question in the files but have posted there for some answers. Thanks for the direction!

Here are two GW links that might help you.

The first is from the new Tropical Fruits forum

and the second is from the Florida Gardening forum.

Thanks for the links! It seems most everyone I have seen post so far are not deeply experienced with these cacti?

my dragon fruit has been growing for a few months now.. it is about 6 ft tall(its growing on a post) and i was wondering when does it flower? after how many years or does it flower and fruit only in a certain season?

I got a red dragon fruit and planted 50+ seeds and they all germinated, will they be true to the type? I live in South California and was wondering if i need another variety. Does anyone have dragonfruit cuttings of red flesh, i would trade or buy from you.
