When we need to match up to older doors that have more narrow stiles or a grid pattern no longer available, we have them custom made. The cost is significant. What we seem to be finding is that most manufacturers have gone to some type of standard sizing and there isn't much outside of that available in stock items.

Good luck. I will be interested to hear if others know of some alternative.

Do you know how narrow you can go? You will need to make sure you have sufficient space for your door hardware. You might want to check with Norwood. There standard stile is 4 19/32" but they do custom sizes as well. http://www.norwoodwindows.ca

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I hadn't checked my responses for months, so pardon the delay. The doors were to be for the center section of a bay window. The latest plan is to bump the space out in a rectangular shape and put a single conventional glass door on the side. This will integrate better with the (future) adjacent screened porch.

Glad you found an option that works for you.

anyone able to find french door with narrow stiles? i consider using sidelights but the stile are too small for many hardware.
