Take them out of the BWB - carefully without tilting them. Set on the nearby counter out of a draft and wait 10-15 minutes. They should start pinging and sealing. If they haven't begun to seal in 1 hour, then you'll need to re-do. Re heat, re jar, new lids, re-process.

If they don't seal we need to figure out why before you reprocess - something is wrong. Well covered with water? Bands on finger tight but not too tight. Wipe jars rims before lids on? Not overfilled?

Hey Dave - thanks for the quick response. They are sealed now. I thought they would come out sealed but I guess now that isn't the case.

BUT - I "finger tightened" the jars. Two of the three came loose and it looks like some water got into the jars. Are these okay to put up or should I refrigerate?

The rings will sometimes feel loose after canning but that doesn't affect the seal.

I know it's hard not to fiddle with the jars, but it's important to just leave them alone for 24 hours. Don't re-tighten any rings even if they do feel loose. Ironically, that can break a good seal.

It can definitely take a while for lids to "pop." Sometimes it happens right out of the canner but it's equally likely to happen over time depending upon the size of the jar, the headspace and the method of canning (raw or hot pack, for instance).
