All one color is a must. What color is your sofa?

Are you changing the floor or keeping it as in the pics?

Work with the fireplace brick colors for complementing color palettes. Looks like brown is in the brick? If you like one bolder color use it on an accent wall and go more neutral throughout the other spaces that share a wall from the living to dining room. Maybe a rich brown on one wall and a lighter version of the color on the adjacent walls. Coordinating colors in the kitchen wainscoting area. Add more colors with artwork, accessories, pillows etc.

I don't think 1 color is a must. Your fireplace call could be a great wall for an accent color. I agree with above... if you like neutral colors then pick one out from the fireplace. If you have pictures of furniture going in this room post them and we can get a better idea!

The kitchen floor is staying for the meantime. I absolutely hate it but figure it's better to update when I update the entire kitchen(hopefully sometime next year). There are hard wood floors underneath all carpet in the home so I am planning on pulling it up. All my furniture is in storage so no pictures but I have two LR sets one being mocha suede and the other beige. My apartment LR had the beige couches with reds, orange and brown accents.
I was thinking of expanding the fireplace up the wall and changing it to something like the attached picture. Another project down the line but in the meantime I love the idea of an accent wall.

The entire home needs a lot of TLC, it's circa 1980 all throughout lol . Bathrooms have pink toliets and tubs and fake wood paneling in the den. I love a challenge and hoping in 2 years it will be as amazing as I think it can be.
