2 forums you might consider here at GW are the Growing from Seed forum and the Winter Sowing Forum. Both have information on different methods for starting your seeds. (At the top of the page, there's a link to the other Garden Forums).

Those would be the best places to start. When you get to either forum, do a search for Hollyhocks to see if the question has been posted previously. Personally, I did all of my HHs via the Winter-Sowing method back in December & January, but not sure if you need a cold snap to germinate those.

Welcome! I would second mmqch's recommendation regarding the winter sowing forum. It's a great, cheap, fun way to get lots of plants. Sorry I can't be of more help with the hollyhocks - I also did all mine by winter-sowing, so I don't know what you should do with them now. But do try a search on the two forums mentioned above.

Since the hollyhocks are biennial, there is probably no push to start these indoors ahead of time. All they will be doing this year is growing green leaves. Next year they will be blooming and then will most likely die off. If all goes well they will self-seed and some new plants will come up the following year.
