Depending on how many and how big you can either go directly to a quarry or to a landscape supply. Merenakos is out by Preston but they are a little on the pricey side. I got my 80,000 lbs at Washington Rock Quarry down by Mt Rainier.

Where do you live? You should check out the closest quarry first. Ask the delivery charge as well as the price per ton.
Each quarry has different types of rocks.

It's been awhile since I have bought any, but when I was, I liked the quarry located outside Enumclaw on the south side of Hi-way 410 on the way to Mt. Rainier. I don't know the new name of it now.

Check Craigslist before you buy -- there are always people clearing out their yards and there are rocks there every day inthe Free section as well as for low prices in the farm & garden section.

I used all 'Kapowsin Blue' for my pond/waterfalls and rock garden. I'm thinking it was like $17.00/ton picked up. I had a transfer truck haul in my first 30 tons because I wanted some 5&6 man rocks but then I went back quite a few times with my horse trailer to get my spill stones and miscellaneous smaller ones.

I don't know where you live, but Stoneyard located in North Bend, WA is reasonable. I got rocks from them for several landscape projects.

Alpine is where 522 crosses HW 9--I think it's just on the Snohomish side of the county line. There are display beds out front. You weigh your vehicle on entering, and after you choose your rocks and load up you get weighed again.
