Hi aunatural That Sedum is rated at zone 9. That is probably why it died in addition to our wet winters. If you want to try it again, put it in a protected location in sharp draining gritty soil. Put a clear umbrella over it as the temperature drops and the rains begin. Make sure to allow for a bit of air circulation too. You may be able to limp it through. Other wise break off cuttings before winter and stick them in sand (they will root) to overwinter in a sunny window indoors. Good luck.

I thought this indeed might be the case, but the tag had NO care information on it at all, a Google search turned up only Japanese pages, and then I lost the one inside too this past winter. (I admit that may have been due to neglect more than any other factor.)

Alas, I do not need another tender plant to haul in at the end of the season. I think I will pass on getting another.

Nice cloches. How do they fare in the wind?

The cloches/umbrellas do need to be tied or weighted down if you are in a windy area. There have been many times I have had to go gather them up from the lower garden when I didn't take the time to secure them! They are not too expensive but will last longer if not allowed to become wind sails.
