I would be surprised if Makenakos (425 392 3313) in Preston FallCity/Issaquah area didn't have it or try Manufactures Minerals in Renton (425 228 2199). I believe that both of these places deliver. Good luck.

The last place used to be the one to get it in bulk from in Seattle area, maybe they still are. For smaller amounts feed stores may have it, as turkey grit.

I was not able to find it in Portland. We ended up finding a crushed stone that did have some color to it that wasn't horribly expensive like crushed Montana rainbow rock. Some of the rock places didn't even know what it was.

The usual gray gravel 3/4 minus available everwhere was too boring.

Yeah, that's exactly what we thought, too. It'd work, but booooring!

The tiny granite grit is okay, except if it's near the house like the one we just bought. Tracks in - badly.

I've always preferred the 1/4 - 10 washed crushed stone.

In the album, #1 is coppertan crushed, but spendy sold by the bag. The quarter-ten goes by the yard and is inexpensive.

Photo #45 looks like what we bought and it was cheap. We did a 300 sq ft area for under $60. It was difficult to find though. When wet the colors really show nicely but when dry it is still not solid grey.

Anyhow, I know what you mean about the fine gravel. Ours looked best when wet. The one we had looked just like pea gravel colors. (pea gravel is a pain to walk on if it's thick)

One place had the fine crushed, but it had a dirty look to it, even when washed. So I waited until they restocked with the stuff that had the pea gravel colors - sort of speckled.
