Umm... Kiwi ice wine, sounds good

Oh, light frost won't hurt kiwis. How cold did they get last night before you picked them?

It was only 17 F here in west Olympia, or -8 C. Not what I would call a few degrees of frost. Definitely a hard freeze.

How much is 'a few degrees of frost' anyway? it's not a term I've heard used by Americans. I only hear it in Tolstoy translations, and from Brits and Canadians. We got about 15 degrees below freezing point in Fahrenheit degrees, and I consider 15 to be more than a few. 8 degrees below freezing point in Celsius, but even 8 is usually more than 'a few' to me. So I'm never sure what to make of the expression 'a few degrees of frost'.

Interestingly, they seem to be OK~ It went down to somewhere between 23 to 26F before I rescued them. -3 to -5 Celcius. I am bilingual in temperature until it gets below freezing and then I have to convert. However, the ice wine is still sounding good!
