Fall chores and 2010 planning

My beds got a great start using the lasagna method but I think I need to improve my beds at the end of the growing season and/or next spring. What things do you do in the fall to make sure your beds are in good shape for spring planting?

Thanks to early blight issues I better put next year's tomato plants in a new location. Would it be ok to plant them where I have grown peppers for two years? I really like the location for the peppers. The plants are very healthy. Would it be okay to continue growing them in this bed?
