TORNADO, please read

I was caught up in the tornado's that hit in tennessee last Wednesday on April - 27. A tree got our mobile home and everything in it including the computers. But the home next door we are remodeling was not hit there is just nothing in it. We at least can live in it. I am on a public computer right now. The library just now got there power restored. We do not have any power yet at the house. It looks like it will be awhile before I can get my other two trades out. The one for made in the shade and there is no place like home. I am going to have to redo them. The tornado took the ones I had ready to mail on Thursday with it. I don't even have the address for them. All of my gardens was destroyed but me and my husband made it thru. I received the fat round robin on Monday and I will try to get it mailed back out by Friday. Thank goodness there is an address for the next one. The card we are sending around I am going to mail it back to the person whos return address is on it. That is all I can do with it. I am really sorry for the delay. When I do get power back on I will have to go by a computer. I am sorry for all of this mess.

Faye!

I'm sorry Faye. I am glad you and your husband were not injured. I lost a car in the storms that came in before that round and can only imagine how devastating your loss is. Thank goodness you have a place to go!

faye I am so sorry to hear of your loss. That is a shame to have lost everything. I was your partner in the easter basket swap and I'd be more than happy to resend you some of the stuff I sent you and anything I can get my hands on just let me know. There are many generous people on here and together we will all help get your gardens back. The main thing is that you and your husband and family are all safe and sound. God bless! ~Jamie~

Faye, how awful and scary for you and your family. Thank God you are OK.
The TV films look unbelievable. Can't imagine the feelings of being there.living there and trying to put life back together again.

I haven't been on the computer for awhile. Anytime I can get into the yard before another storm hits I do. I felt so bad for your loss but thank God you are ok. If there is anything that we can do as a gardening group to help (by mail of course...I live in Washington state) let me know. I would be happy to mail starts, etc to you. Happy Mother's Day Faye.

    Faye,

Just read this for the 1st time --- Praise God you & DH are OK! And that you had a house not damaged, even tho it is empty, is a real Godsend!
Everyone is right - we are a generous bunch who would love to help you get re-started. Pleae let us know when you're ready & what you need. *And we'll be disappointed if you don't! - you don't need to begin again all alone. We're here for you.

Finally got the courage to go a 1/4 mile up the hill today and was almost sick at the sight of the damage. We really did get missed by a whisker - lots of trees down in my neighborhood, but lives & houses still standing.

Faye, please let me know if there is anything I can help with aside from gardening. I am signed up for the AL volunteer force, and they can probably put me in touch with resources. Insurance companies, FEMA, Army National Guard, and people in general around here have been great.

Faye, I am just seeing this post for the first time. I am sorry you lost material things, but my God, is He not good to have spared the hair on your heads!!!!! You are very fortunate and I'm sure with time things will work out.

I have more plants than one person needs and when you are ready, I am counting on you to tell me it's time to mail a box.

Drippy, very nice that you will volunteer your time like that -- what a great asset to the team.

All these offers just reinforce that gardeners have great hearts, don't ya all agree?
