This plant is about 13 inches tall from the soil right now. I've had it for 4 months now, it lives 4-5 feet from an open sunny window, only gets a cup of water after it has dried out and it seems to be doing great - you can see some of the new growth in the photo. I just don't know what it is!

I think if you google "Monstera Deliciosa" you will have a confirmation of your house plants I.D. Ross.

I don't know if it's a Monstera Deliciosa, but it's in the Monstera/Philodendron family..
Soon, you'll see splits in leaves. These plants grow wide..Mine has about a 4' width growing in an 8" pot.. they're fairly fast growing, so be careful w/the fertilizer. Toni

The leaves of Monstera Deliciosa really start off that small?
Also, I read somewhere Monstera grow aerial roots and hang or climb like ivy. Mine doesn't have aerial roots, nor does it appear to want to hang.

I apologize for the silly questions, I am new to houseplants.

It is Monstera deliciosa in its "juvenile" or seedling form. As it matures the leaves will start "spliting" more and the aerial roots will begin.
